Trump campaign touts achievements despite criticism from 'enemies'

A new ad campaign for President Donald Trump takes aim at his enemies in the media and Congress, Mediaite reported Sunday.

"Democrats, obstructing. The media, attacking our President. Career politicians standing in the way of success". "But President Trump's plan is working", a narrator says in voiceover over a series of headshots.

The ad includes a montage of television hosts, including Joe Scarborough, Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams of MSNBC, and Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon of CNN, among others. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) and Senate Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (Md.).

The ad then highlights Trump's successes including a million new jobs, the lowest unemployment rate since 2001, the stock market at an all-time high and "the strongest military in decades".

The spot's underlying message is that all those forces are martialed against a President simply trying to do his job, and succeeding despite the best efforts of those "enemies" to prevent him from doing so.

The Trump campaign said the ad will air nationally and online but did not specify the size of the ad buy or how long it will run.
