JJ Watt found out about brother TJ's big game from Kendrick Lamar

"I want my brother to do good, but then I'm like, wait a second here".

Eventually, though, J.J. found out about T.J.'s debut. No, someone else was mighty impressed by what the Wisconsin Badgers product was doing on the field Friday night - that person being rapper Kendrick Lamar.

T.J. Watt, one of two of J.J.'s brothers that play in the National Football League, made his debut last night for the Pittsburgh Steelers and picked up a pair of sacks in just his first four plays. "So I go on Google, I check it out and it said two sacks in four plays". "So, I texted him so he could see after the game what Kendrick said and I just thought that was like the craziest thing in the world, to see one of the best rappers in the world - possibly the best rapper in the world - text me about my little brother".

The performance by T.J. Watt was more than enough to have his older brother immediately reacting on Twitter following the first sack alone.

Derek Watt might have missed the start of the game too due to work commitments of his own as the starting fullback for the San Diego Chargers, but he was no less proud when he saw action. "But it was just so cool".

"He's worked so hard, he's overcome a lot in his career and, I mean, two sacks in four plays made me question myself because I played four plays the other day. So [I'm] a little disappointed".

Watt said he was a little conflicted about what to tweet because his brother plays for another AFC team.

After he saw the play, Watt tweeted about the performance.

"That's a long way away and we're very much looking forward to that, obviously, but there's a long ways to go to get there", Watt said. So I literally didn't know what to do. "And somebody will have bragging rights at the end of the year, and hopefully it will be me".
