Milan director doesn't hide Morata interest: "It could heat up"

Milan director doesn't hide Morata interest:

And based on recent reports, Milan are looking into three options to fill that role: Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Andrea Belotti, and Alvaro Morata.

Antonio Conte is in dire need of a new striker after telling Diego Costa he no longer features in his plans, but the club were gazumped to the signing of Romelu Lukaku by Manchester United.

The striker has a €100m release clause in his contract that can be triggered by any team outside of Italy, however AC Milan are not able to trigger that's particular clause.

The Milan giants are splashing the cash this summer as they look to put together a squad to challenge for the Serie A title next season.

Speaking earlier this week about a potential move for Belotti to Chelsea, club legend Gianfranco Zola said: "To be honest I was thinking Chelsea should go for Andrea Belotti in Italy".

Belotti scored 26 times in 35 Serie A appearances for Torino last season and has been strongly linked with both Milan and Chelsea.

The Rossoneri have taken this summer's transfer window by storm, exciting fans with the high profile arrivals of players such as Leonardo Bonucci, Mateo Musacchio, Hakan Calhanoglu, Andre Silva and the incoming Lucas Biglia. Similar to what happens with Aubameyang, however, Milan want to sign the Spain global "but under their own conditions", so it seems unlikely both teams will reach an agreement any time soon.

Milan have reportedly made an offer of 40 million euros and also thrown in M'Baye Niang and Gabriel Paletta, but it appears that Torino want 80 million euros alongside the two players in order to complete the deal.
