Ariel Winter Slams Body Shamers Who Say She 'Squeezed' Into Her Shorts

Winter was presumably responding to criticism of an Instagram photo she posted of herself and her "squad" on Thursday, depicting Winter, in shorts and a skimpy top surrounded by fully clothed people.

'Pretty annoyed about the focus on the fact that I wear shorts, and the commentary that I'm "squeezing" into them or the idea that it's not okay for me to wear shorts. It's hot, obviously I'm going to wear minimal clothes.

The sitcom sensation went on to add: "Also, I'm not "squeezing" into anything. M shorts fit me and everything I'm doing is just fine".

You'd think that, by now, the internet trolls would have learned that Ariel Winter is not going to take their criticism lying down. We're just living our lives. "Those people are going to be rude to me regardless of what I do, so I should just try and be happy with what I am", she said. Now the star is facing more scrutiny from these faceless bullies over her wardrobe choices. "Please stop criticizing everything everyone does!"

She wrote in a note on Twitter in March: "Why TF does anyone care that I didn't dress casual like everyone else for the panel? Why can't people just let other people feel good about themselves and do what they want?" she tweeted at the time. It's a chance to make fans feels closer to you, but it also exposes you to abusive comments.

You tell them, Ariel.

Strolling outside into sunny LA, Ariel looked little fazed after being the target of haters who commented on an ensemble she wore in a recent Instagram post. "I went through a lot of hate online, so I tried to change myself for a really long time".
