Agent coy over Chelsea interest for Caballero

Agent coy over Chelsea interest for Caballero

Despite all of the transfer speculation surrounding the Premier League champions, Chelsea are yet to confirm the arrival of any new players this summer as Antonio Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The agent of released Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero admits he has English offers.

Caballero is now a free agent after being released by Manchester City but the shot-stopper appears to have found a new club in no time, and it is one of City's biggest Premier League title rivals.

In turn, it's a good start to the summer with the report claiming that Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoue Bakayoko are amongst the remaining targets, but time will tell if Chelsea are as successful in prising them away from their current clubs.

Caballero is expected to join Chelsea at the end of the month.

The 35-year-old left Manchester City in May following the expiry of his three-yeal deal at the club, and is now a free agent.

The Bosnian goalkeeper, who commanded a fee of £10 million to sign for Eddie Howe's side, doesn't appear to be a fan of the Caballero signing judging by his Twitter activity. However, City want £10m for the 30-year-old.

So, next year's goalkeeping trio looks set to be Thibaut Courtois (with his contract extension talks ready to resume in a couple weeks) and veterans Willy Caballero and Eduardo.
