After leaving the office of governor, Keating served as the chairman of a panel appointed by the Catholic Church to investigate allegations of abuse by priests.

Keating had been considered for the nation's top-cop job during the George W. Bush administration.

For years, Lieberman has crossed the political aisle to form alliances with Republicans.

Trump came under criticism for firing Comey as he was supervising the investigation into Russia's meddling in the 2016 USA election and any possible links between the Trump and Russian Federation during the campaign.
