Tendulkar briefs PM Modi about 'Sachin A Billion Dreams', receives blessings

"We are very pleased that "Sachin: A Billion Dreams" is tax free in the states of Kerala and Chhattisgarh..."

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and received his blessings for his upcoming biographical film Sachin: A Billion Dreams.

Authenticity has been the watchword as far as the film is concerned with no actor playing Sachin's role, and it's been further revealed that some of the locations where the film has been shot are authentic.

"I've been myself (in the biopic) because that is how people have known me for a number of years. I have to be myself", he added.

Aamir expressed the exact thoughts of every cricket fan--when the former Indian cricketer would come on field, whether it would be the joy of Sachin hitting a 4 or a 6, the ecstasy of a wicket taken by him or the sorrow of him getting out.

Tendulkar says it took him eight months to agree to the biopic.

"He said "my best wishes are with you".

"Sachin: A billion Dreams", written and directed by James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under 200 NotOut Productions is scheduled to be released on 26 May 2017.

Earlier, speaking about the movie exclusively to CNN-News18, Sachin had said that the movie will focus not just the highs of his career. The movie will touch upon aspects that have never been seen before. Yes, it was a strategic move by Aamir Khan to essentially promote Sachin: A Billion Dreams, but be that as it may, Aamir's story was really amusing.
