Henry and Evelyn are Minnesota's most popular baby names

Liam, Mason, Benjamin and James closely followed Noah while Olivia, Ava, Charlotte and Sophia were behind Emma.

Favorite names have changed over the years.

New Jersey's most popular baby boy names are similar to those that made the Social Security Administration's national list for 2016.

Ava was the top girl name in the state in 2015, followed by Emma, Olivia, Abigail and Harper. Noah sat atop the list for boy names. At the time of a child's birth, parents supply the name to the agency when applying for a child's Social Security card.

For 2016, Kehlani and Kylo saw the biggest increases.

Kehlani rose to number 872 from number 3,359 in 2015. The administration attributed this hike to singer Kehlani Parrish who was nominated for a Grammy a year ago. As for why Kylo jumped so many spots, the administration thinks the popularity of Star Wars might have something to do with it since there's a character in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", by the name of Kylo Ren. For boys, it was Creed, which could be attributed to the return to the silver screen of boxer Rocky Balboa in the 2015 movie "Creed", where Rocky trains Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of his late boxing rival Apollo Creed.
