Googles Android Go will change the way India buys budget smartphones

The latest expansion of Google's artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem was first talked about during the opening Keynote of Google I/O 2017, the latest iteration of the company's annual developer conference that started yesterday in Mountain View, California.

Google Assistant can help users see the world in a new light, thanks to a smartphone camera. The optimized apps for the lightweight OS should have a download size of less than 10MB and should work well for devices with slow processors.

Google I/O is that time of the year that Google brings forward the best of their technologies and shows off their plan for the year to follow.

Google wants as many people as possible to have access to the Android platform and services. Google's Lens App plays a major role in this particular feature. "Every app is different, but we've seen with our early partners that with the latest tools, instant app development typically takes about 4-6 weeks".

And there will be a version of the Play Store that highlights apps specifically designed for the next billion users coming online while still offering the entire app catalog. After the failure of the Android One experiment - a Rs 5,000-Rs 6,000 phone with decent specs - with Android Go, the tech giant is now targeting existing $50-100 entry-level phones in the market.

What's more, the assistant will soon be able to complete transactions and supply information about objects captured by the smartphone's camera, executives said. Samat said Google isn't using zero-rating in its initial Android Go version. However, the iOS still limits it very much, so people will still not get to enjoy the full experience.

Google just announced that it there are now 2 billion Android devices that are being used worldwide.

This sort of a feature has been a part of various custom launchers in the past, but Android O now integrates it in the OS itself. It also is launching an attempt to make its voice-controlled digital assistant more proactive and visual while expanding its audience to Apple's iPhone, where it will try to outwit an older peer, Siri.

The push marks another step toward infusing nearly all of Google's products with some semblance of artificial intelligence - the concept of writing software that enables computers to gradually learn to think more like humans.

Android Go will ship sometime in 2018 for all devices that have a RAM size thats 1GB or less. All through, Android notifications were found in the same place, but the 2017 Android version wants to make a switch thanks to Notification Dots.
