Ohio woman 'prisoner' in own home due to deer attacks

An Ohio woman is a prisoner in her own home because a mad mama deer keeps coming after her.

Her fears are justified. She says she had to fight the doe off with a dog leash and her fist, and tried to zigzag back and forth.

Luckily, the deer slipped on the black top, allowing her to return safely inside, but the deer then circled her home.

"She came right after me", said Cindy, "What saved me was my blacktop".

Frost fell during the altercation and suffered minor injuries, including bruised ribs.

Frost says the doe's fawn lives in her backyard.

Cindy says she learned the hard way that even if you're hundreds of yards away from the fawn, the doe might still feel threatened and may attack.

Last year, the same deer also stamped and injured her neighbor's dog, WJW-TV reported.

There's just nothing else the homeowner can do, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resrouces Division of Wildlife - unless they get to the point where they have to euthanize the animals.

"I don't want that; I'm an animal lover", Frost explained.

Frankly deer, she does give a damn.
